Our Why
Everything is Better with a Little Sparkle
Emily's Power for a Cure was created after Emily Ransom, Carrie's niece, lost her life to Neuroblastoma on February 20, 2006, at the tender age of 2. Neuroblastoma is a cancerous tumor that develops from nerve tissue in infants and children. Her memory drives our mission to combat this devastating disease and provide hope for other families facing similar challenges.
Following Emily's passing, Carrie swiftly embraced the role of a fundraiser for Emily's Power for a Cure. Tragically, another heart-wrenching blow hit the Ransom and Daugherty Families only two years later when Carrie fell victim to a senseless act of violence on March 19, 2008.
This is where our story intertwines. Following Carrie's untimely death, we undertook the mantle of her fundraising endeavors. We are deeply committed to making meaningful contributions and fostering a local impact through our charitable initiatives. Our support extends to Emily's Power for a Cure and other causes that held a special place in Carrie's heart.
Let’s work together.
